FX Barcelona Film School invites you tomorrow, October 4th, to a unique day dedicated to the most influential video game engine in the international industry: Unreal Engine. With the guidance of Epic Games, you’ll have the chance to explore the impact of this powerful tool on film, digital arts, and video games.

The event will feature Hernán Basso, Technical Director at Epic Games, along with a group of experts who will offer an in-depth and technical look at the multiple applications of Unreal in the audiovisual world.

A day to discover how Unreal Engine is transforming creative industries

The day will be filled with talks and activities designed to inspire and connect technology, digital art, and video game enthusiasts. Here’s the program so you don’t miss anything:

Event schedule:

• 9:45 am: Doors open and registration.
• 10:00 am: Welcome by Fátima Vilà, CEO of Mediagrup FX, and Toni Mena, Technical Director of FX Barcelona Film School.
• 10:10 am: “Real-Time Rendering with Unreal for Animated Film,” with Gerard Martínez, professor at FX Barcelona Film School.
• 10:45 am: “Unreal for Film,” talk by Francesc Bolló, VFX Supervisor at Señora X Productions.
• 11:20 am: “Creating Video Games in Unreal with Houdini,” led by Florenci Magriñà, Coordinator of the Video Game Area at FX Barcelona Games School, and Aitor Rider, Real-Time 3D Environment Technical Artist. (Talk in English)
• 11:45 am: Coffee break.
• 12:00 pm: “Epic Games: Building Worlds with Unreal Engine,” with Hernán Basso,  Technical Director at Epic Games.
• 1:00 pm: Appetizer + Lunch at “Cantina Cinema Paradiso,” sponsored by Cervezas El Águila. Networking opportunity with industry professionals.
