AR-DE in First Person

In the latest edition of AR-DE, we wanted to capture more than just the route through the circuit’s spaces: we wanted to give a voice to the people who make it possible. For this reason, during the days of the event we visited several participating spaces and recorded a video, speaking with some of the people behind them.

Through these interviews, artists, gallerists and space managers share their experience of being part of AR-DE and reflect on what it means to open the doors of their projects to the public. The video brings together different perspectives that converge on a shared idea: the importance of creating connections between creators, spaces and visitors, and of building an active cultural community in Poblenou.

AR-DE is a circuit that invites visitors to discover first-hand the art and design programmes of the spaces within the Creative District, while also giving visibility to the local and international talent that coexists there. At the same time, it offers an opportunity for participating spaces to connect with one another, share projects and strengthen a creative network that continues to grow edition after edition.

Throughout the video, many participants highlight this very value: being part of Poblenou Urban District and taking part in initiatives such as AR-DE helps amplify projects, generate new collaborations and position the neighbourhood as a meeting point for culture, art and design.

The result is a collective portrait of what it means to be part of this community — a testament to the vitality of Poblenou and to the role its creative spaces play in promoting culture and sharing it with the city.

We invite you to discover the video and hear first-hand the voices that were part of the October 2025 edition. You can also explore the programme of the new edition, returning on March 27, 28 and 29.
