Meet the artists selected for the eleventh edition of the Windows Art Circuit / WAC

On Saturday, May 9, the Creative District celebrates a new edition of Poblenou Open Day by opening the doors of the neighborhood’s Creative Community with a day full of art, creativity, and culture. During the Open Day, the Windows Art Circuit (WAC) returns — a multidisciplinary art circuit that transforms the streets, shop windows, and spaces of Poblenou into live creation stages.

This year we present the eleventh edition of the WAC with a new format: a first phase of small-scale interventions during Poblenou Open Day, followed by a second phase in autumn dedicated to outdoor mural interventions and a collective exhibition.

We would like to congratulate all the artists who submitted proposals to this year’s open call. The quality of the projects continues to grow every year, consolidating WAC as a leading platform for promoting and giving visibility to emerging talent. We also congratulate the selected artists, who will participate in this eleventh edition both in spring and autumn. Here are the selected artists:

Aftersun · Aitana Giráldez · ANTÓN SEOANE · Berini · Dextre · Edmundo Garcia · Eterografia · Evamik · Jorge Ochagavia · Julia Miceli Pitta · Júlia Porta · Kat Valier · KST · Michael Lorenzana · Mondays · MUCHACHA PINTA · Nat · Niko Tampio · Pangoico · PILAT · Rumián · TOSCO69 · Vale Wilson

For this spring edition, we are featuring six interventions across four spaces within the Creative District:

FX Barcelona Film School
Pujades, 112

At the street corner façade of the school, you will find Evamik, whose practice focuses on the intersections between illustration, comics, and graphic design. Their work explores the relationship between image and text, using irony and juxtaposition as creative tools.

One by Aftersun, a mural artist with a distinctive style who seeks to fill spaces with the happiness conveyed by the feeling of an endless summer.

And another by Dextre, an artist from Lima who intertwines painting, text, photography, dance, and movement in his works.

Indissoluble
Pujades, 130-132

Indissoluble hosts the work of Vale Wilson.

A multidisciplinary artist inspired by the female figure, nature, and music.

She works with opposing elements, seeking a balance between precision and disorder, control and spontaneity, and between her own intention and the audience’s interpretation.

The Hoxton Poblenou
Av. Diagonal, 205

The Hoxton Poblenou hosts Danish artist PILAT.

Her work focuses on creating bold and colorful murals with a strong emphasis on female representation and community-driven storytelling.

TRAM Selva de Mar

Designer and illustrator MUCHACHA PINTA, an advocate for illustration as a tool for communication and humor, will create an artistic intervention at the Selva de Mar TRAM stop.
