Disseny Hub Barcelona

In addition to the permanent exhibitions at the Museu del Disseny, September is the month par excellence of jewellery at the Disseny Hub. Among the activities taking place is the premiere of ‘Enric Majoral. La joya expandida’, the new temporary exhibition on jewellery dedicated to Enric Majoral. The exhibition, organised by the Museu del Disseny in collaboration with the A-FAD and curated by Maia Creus. “You will discover the vision I have of the world and life, through my way of making and understanding jewellery”, explains the artist. The Disseny Hub is also hosting a new edition of the ENJOIA’T International Contemporary Jewellery Awards. The 27th edition presents the most transgressive jewellery proposals from around the world in a temporary exhibition format. The initiative is organised by A-FAD as a meeting point for professionals and students in the sector. It is an annual event that, since 1994, rewards the most outstanding contemporary creations in jewellery. For this edition, a jury made up of five professionals has selected 26 pieces from ten different countries in Asia, America and Europe. The winning pieces will be announced at the end of October.
