Exhibition Muertepe y la Huesuda, by Marcela Ruiz.
Better known as tepetonga or Tepe, she was born in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
Tepe often refers to her roots; skulls and Huichol aesthetics are frequently reflected in her charismatic illustrations.
A master of composition, color, and line, she delicately carves shapes from vectors to create dynamic, captivating illustrations — and above all, pieces full of heart, transformed into visual reflections and small moments that remind us of the joy of being here, alive, and enjoying life.
