ummer arrives along with a host of activities at Museu Can Framis of Fundació Vila Casas. We bring you the museum’s schedule throughout the month of June.
El mar, sempre el mar is a physical and online installation conceived and produced for Museu Can Framis by the students of the Master in Photography and Design Elisava 2025-2026, in collaboration with the Fundació Vila Casas.
It aims to reflect the pulse, the characters, and the deep diversity of the Poblenou coastline, as seen by seventeen photographers from twelve different countries. Nowadays, these beaches bring together locals and visitors of all ages as a kaleidoscopic reflection of the city’s Mediterranean soul: a soul of leisure, sports, cultural exchange, connection, and coexistence; and also of its challenges, such as tourism overcrowding and social imbalance.
The exhibition El mar, sempre el mar can be visited until 31/05/2027.
Coinciding with Barcelona’s World Capital of Architecture status, we offer a tour to discover the architecture of Museu Can Framis, a building where Poblenou’s industrial past and architectural modernity intertwine (BAAS arquitectes signed off on a renovation that has won several awards). Tour led by Pol Casellas, architect and communicator.
A journey through the 7 chakras through the archetypes of yoga and contemporary art. A program inspired by yoga philosophy that uses color as a threshold and yogic archetypes as an inner symbolic map within an approach that integrates art, health, and introspection.
Each session combines gentle yoga, artistic contemplation, and a creative practice, offering a meaningful experience of self-knowledge, connection, transformation, and inner well-being in front of an artwork.
At the end of the session, participants can stay at the museum and freely explore the rooms from a more open and contemplative perspective.
Patrim is a selection of the best artistic works by final-year students from the Faculty of Fine Arts. This initiative has been running for over three decades, and the pieces have been acquired to become part of the Fine Arts Collection of the Universitat de Barcelona.
The collaboration between the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Fundació Vila Casas makes it possible for the foundation to host this selection of works every year, facilitating a connection between trained students, artists, professional exhibition circuits, and the general public.
The following artists are participating in this edition:
Abril Alcalde Benedicto – Körperlich: La somàtica aplicada a l’entorn urbà
Maria Baron Comes – Krinein
Sara Gázquez – Silencis: Poètica de l’ombra a Cornellà
Guillem Ortega Santos – Vell futur. El paisatge postindustrial
Julia Mayer – L’ombra blava
Irene Molina Aylagas – Ayeres; Disonancias; Los Malos Hijos; Relatos sobre la culpa; Ayeres; 172 i Lux
The collection of selected works will become part of the Fine Arts Collection of the Patrimonial Fund of the Universitat de Barcelona, which is committed year after year to supporting its students and emerging creation.
Guided tours of the exhibition Assenyala un punt by Lúa Coderch led by our mediators.
Lúa Coderch’s work is an investigation into surfaces, into the imaginary folds of what we call reality. Stories and images emerge simultaneously with lived experience; they organize it, give it shape and meaning, and allow it to circulate. Through sculptures, actions, and audiovisual works, she explores these questions, from both their sensitive and narrative dimensions, mobilizing, channeling, and developing reserves of material and imaginary energy.
You can book tickets for the activities through the Museu Can Framis website.
