From the Hub to the City: A Scale for Urban Transformation

CENTRINNO is a European action-research project that tests strategies, methods and tools for the inclusive transformation of disused industrial urban areas. Since October 2020, nine cities are involved in this pilot initiative, working for the development of new urban typologies and local models of productive and creative hubs, Fab City Hubs, placing citizens at the core of a new sustainable transformation.

This first talk will explore how and why the Fab City Hub concept at the local level has the potential to transform and impact across the territory, from the hand of some of the protagonists of the program, through three examples of projects in three different urban environments: Zagreb (Croacia), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Milan (Italy).
