Contemporary Art Gallery and Production Studio that works with both national and international contemporary artists, emerging and consolidated, with the aim of bringing art and the process of creation to the public. Photography, painting, video art and illustration are part of the gallery’s program. From the production studio, they develop different cultural projects linked to the territory and art.

For the second edition of AR-DE, La Plataforma invites the public to activities linked to the exhibition “Analogical Constructions”, by the artists Paul Ekaitz and José Antonio Hernández-Diez.

On Friday 3 June from 19:00 to 20:00 “Meet the Artists” will be presented: a talk where the artists will talk about their line of work and the conceptualization of the exhibition “Analogical Constructions”. The talk will be guided by the La Plataforma team, who will also explain the gallery’s trajectory.

On Saturday 4 June from 19:00 to 21:00, on the occasion of the closing of the exhibition, the gallery opens its doors to celebrate “Gastro Mecànica”, an apéritif where the two artists will talk about their roots through food.

The apéritif will be accompanied by a vinyl session selected by the artists.

Museum of contemporary Catalan painting. It is part of the Fundació Vila Casas and hosts, in addition to its permanent exhibitions that include about 300 works, periodic temporary exhibitions of various artists born or living in Catalonia.

The permanent exhibition, “Monòleg, diàleg i concepte” (Monologue, dialogue and concept) is a tour of more than 300 works by contemporary Catalan artists. In the temporary exhibition hall, there are two recently inaugurated exhibitions: PATRIM’21, a selection of final projects by Fine Arts students from the University of Barcelona, which as every year are exhibited in room A of the Museum, and the exhibition of the winner of the 2021 Vila Casas Foundation Sculpture Prize, Stella Rahola, who is presenting L’HABITACIÓ DE LES DESATESES.

On the occasion of the AR-DE circuit, the Can Framis Museum is offering reduced admission to all the Museum’s exhibitions on Saturday 4 June, from 11 am to 6 pm. Hybrid space between creation factory and art gallery that merges the field of artistic production with the field of dissemination, exhibition and sale of works of art. Created to provide the necessary infrastructure and support artists in developing their professional career.

For AR-DE, the space has programmed two exhibitions: On the one hand, the solo exhibition of the former resident artist Khalid El Bekay (Casablanca, 1966). The exhibition is made up of the artist’s most recent works, in which an evolutionary leap in his pictorial career can be observed. Through the use of recurrent elements and techniques in his artistic production, the artist represents for the first time the human being in his environment.

On the other hand, the group exhibition 2022_n2. The exhibition is made up of works by the resident artists: Jose Bonell, Pepe Castellanos, Yamandú Canosa, Tono, Carbajo, Rosanna Casano, Iván Franco, Dedé Lins, Ana Monsó, Marco Noris, Poleno, Kati Riquelmo and Estefanía Urrutia.
